Keeping your Pets safe when you travel around the country is something we all need to be concerned about. This site shows states and how dangerous the parasites are. It is updated monthly and it is great information to refer to. http://www.capcvet.org/parasite-prevalence-maps
We have just started a FREE site for those who travel with pets to find groomers, vets, pet sitters, etc that others have used along the road. We find it one of the most difficult things to find when we are traveling to find someone we trust. The site has just started so there isn’t much there yet so please check it out and add listings with both good and bad comments. The more people who use it, the more beneficial it will be for us all. Our toy poodle was abused at a groomer in Texas and we decided we had to start getting this information out there. The site iswww.rvpetcarereviews.com and is totally free and has no advertising allowed by services. It is a lot like the rvpark review site. Please check it out and tell all your friends. We hope people will use it even though they may not be traveling but anyone who does could be coming to the area you live in and need those services. Please help us spread the word.
Did you know if you have a credit or debit card with BankAmerica you can get in free to participating museums.http://museums.bankofamerica.com
Water weighs over 8 pounds per gallon so if you are carrying water with you for drinking try this tip instead. A “Zero Water System” removes almost all of the junk in the water and makes it very drinkable. We keep 2 pitchers filtered and cold in the fridge for drinking. Great drinking water, much cheaper than buying bottled water and helps save the environment. Before the water pitcher system we were purchasing 5-6 gallons of water every couple days plus carrying a case of bottled water. Add up that weight and we shed 50 pounds from our rig. The pitchers aren’t cheap but it doesn’t take long to pay for it no longer having to buy drinking water.
Bounce dryer sheets remove bugs from your windshield. Just wet the windshield. Dip a Bounce dryer sheet in water and wash the windshield with it. Leave on a few minutes then rinse and most of the bugs will dissolve. Hubby even uses it on the “bra” on our motor home.
