A Great Space Saving Tip

Ladies…keep your jewelry in a hanging jewelry bag. It hangs in the closet and takes up much less space than a jewelry box. Just one more thing you don’t have to find room for and weighs much less than a jewelry box.

Who Doesn’t Need Extra Storage Space…an inexpensive way to gain extra space

Hang a Shoe Bag on your bathroom door. The little pockets can hold toiletries, shampoo and conditioner, wash cloths, brushes and combs and just about anything you want to stash in them. A real space saver.

Keep That Cooler or Ice Chest Smelling Fresh

Share Button

If like most of us, you have a cooler but don’t use it very often when you open the lid after it’s been stored a while, the musty smell can be pretty offensive. To keep it smelling fresh without that musty smell that greets you when you open it, put some newspapers inside before you store it each time. They will absorb any leftover moisture and banish musty odors.

Keeping Things Organized and How Easy it is to Keep Them That Way

Share Button

The easiest way to keep things organized and in their place is to put like items in plastic containers, boxes or baskets. Store all your baking products together and when you’re going to bake simply remove the container and everything you need is at your fingertips. Same is true for cleaning products…add sponges, rags, cleaners, small broom & dustpan, glass cleaner, whatever you normally use for cleaning, just carry it with you as you clean and you won’t be making extra trips back and forth. Store snacks in a basket and the kids won’t be rummaging around in the cabinets. This tip works for just about anything and for everyone. FYI…look for containers with straight sides so you won’t be wasting space. AND make sure they are clearly marked!

A Great Time and Money Saver

Make defrosting your freezer easier. Next time you defrost it, wipe dry then spray with a light coat of cooking spray. Use a paper towel to wipe the cooking spray around and remove excess.  When you have to defrost again the ice will slide off the walls must faster and easier so you don’t have to have it turned off near as long.

How to Corral Those Plastic Garbage Bags

Share Button

Many of us recycle our plastic grocery bags to reuse in many ways and they can take over a cabinet in a hurry. Save an empty tissue box and stuff your bags in it. The box holds a lot of bags and keeps them corralled in one spot. You can even attach the tissue box to the inside of a cabinet with a good double sticky tape. Free and Easy!
