We hope you have a wonderful holiday season no matter where you are and who you are spending Christmas with this year. While we love to be home with our kids at Christmas, it is also fun to be living and or traveling in your RV during Christmas and start new traditions and see what traditions others have. Since moving away from our extended family one of the new traditions we started was going out and looking at all the beautiful Christmas lights. This year we are blessed to get to spend a lot of time with our dear RV friends Marilu and John and have spent a couple of nights out looking at decorations in the Seattle area.
As I am writing this newsletter today so close to Christmas, I am saddened by the two horrific news stories coming out of Europe. Let us pray that 2017 can bring an end to this horrible violence and we can have Peace.
Great Space Saving Tip: You can store almost anything in these clear plastic shoe holders that can hang over your bathroom or bedroom door. I talk about this in my seminars and it is a real space saver.Use them to store wash cloths, hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, combs, makeup, cleaning products, and shocker even shoes! 🙂 You can purchase them at most big box stores.
Important Tip: Fake Olive Oil Companies Revealed – Stop Buying These Brands Now!
Watch carefully to make sure the oil you are purchasing is the real deal. Sadly more and more of our food seems to have issues. Buy locally and from Farmer’s Markets whenever you can. http://livetheorganicdream.com/fake-olive-oil-companies-revealed-stop-buying-these-brands-now/.
Great article on Ways to eat Healthy. While most of us indulge in the traditional foods and festivities of the holiday season and there’s nothing wrong with that, January brings back the sense of needing to get back on track. I ran across this article that has several good ideas that may be helpful. http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/HealthyLiving/HealthyEating/Nutrition/Daily-Tips-to-Help-Your-Family-Eat-Better_UCM_461172_Article.jsp#.WFhZzBsrLIV.

Great Places to Visit: 11 Towns That Deserve a Closer Look This is a great article about smaller towns that have lots of things to see and do. We have found that to be true when traveling. Most small towns have unique places to visit or histories to be discovered.
In August of 2012 I wrote an article called “Tie a Yellow Ribbon” in our trip journal about a little Montana town called Big Timber along the Yellowstone River and I-90 west of Billings and east of Bozeman.
Visiting with the folks in this tiny county seat of Sweetgrass County, we learned a lot about these yellow ribbons as well as touring the Shilo Sharps Rifle Company. You would never guess there is so much history in this town of just 1600 people. Most of you would drive right on by without giving this “wide spot in the road” a second thought. So don’t pass up those places you whiz by…maybe they have a hidden treasure! Here is a link to that post. http://www.mytripjournal.com/MTJ/WebObjects/
All you need is the plan, the road map and the courage to reach your destination and remember YOU hold the map to make the journey your own. Until next time…happy and safe travels.
