Boy do we wish for spring in the Northwest.  Yesterday brought  snow, sleet (small hail) lightening strikes and sunshine!  The saying “If you don’t like the weather…just wait 5 minutes” was certainly true and many of the surrounding areas of the city didn’t get anything.

Sadly we will not be traveling south to the Rally in the Valley  in Chandler, Arizona and will certainly miss seeing all of you.  I so enjoy giving space saving seminars and sharing both space and money saving ideas with everyone.  We hope you have a wonderful time at the rally and we look forward to seeing you down the road.   https://www.fmca.com/conventions-64/chandler/family-registration.html

Great Money Saving tip from Jillee:  Make your own All Natural Soft Scrub.   I do use Soft Scrub on my enamel kitchen sinks in the RV and while I haven’t tried her recipe I sure will.  I love how white and clean it makes the sinks.  She calls for Melaleuca which is Tree Tea Oil so feel free to replace that ingredient.  http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/how-to-make-an-all-natural-soft-scrub-cleanser?

I thought this was a great article on Kitchen hacks and tips that may or may not work.  Some I have tried and some I haven’t.  https://www.buzzfeed.com/marietelling/cooking-hacks-review?

Tips for Tree Tea Oil:  If you have or purchase tree tea oil to make the above All natural soft scrub here is a list of 25 other things it can be used for.  Remember all essential oils are very strong so the old adage of “If a little does a little good, a lot will do a lot of good” is not necessarily true.  http://everydayroots.com/tea-tree-oil-uses.

Tips to use Castile Soap: Castile soap also has lots of uses. And you can even make your own to make certain there are no chemicals hidden inside. http://www.naturallivingideas.com/castile-soap-benefits-uses/   http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Liquid-Castile-Soap

And of course Baking Soda has tons of uses which I have covered in this newsletter years ago.  Here is a list of 51 uses.  http://www.care2.com/greenliving/51-fantastic-uses-for-baking-soda.html

This past week I took this yummy recipe to a friend’s for lunch.  It is not only beautiful to look at but delicious as well.  Since it is no longer pomegranate season you may be able to find the arils frozen  If you  use frozen ones add them at the very last minute.  Roasted Brussels Sprouts With Pomegranate and Hazelnuts.   file:///C:/Users/Gail/Documents/Recipes/Roasted%20Brussels%20Sprouts%20With%20Pomegranate%20and%20Hazelnuts.pdf.

Great Places to Visit:  11 Small Towns Worth a Visit if you’re traveling through the area. It’s always fun to visit with people about what their idea of a small town is! 🙂  Growing up in rural Montana you can find lots of small towns with less than 200 people.  Sadly because of the Interstate highway and the economy, many small towns are quickly becoming ghost towns.  https://www.simplemost.com/small-american-towns-visit-vacation/.  Many of them have long time residents that can tell lots of interesting stories about any area you may be in.

Embrace the Journey …travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.

Until next time.
