Remembering all those who are gone but not forgotten on this Memorial Day. As we spend the day in remembrance, we are thankful to all those who have so bravely served our great nation in the military so we can enjoy all the freedoms we have. Traveling to Moses Lake, WA for the Good Sam Sambroee which starts on Thursday, we are always delighted by the huge Veteran presence in the Washington Good Sams Club and the ceremonies they have each year as part of the Sambroee. The Sambroee has enjoyed an increase in First Time Attendees for the past couple of years and hopefully that will continue. With so many organizations and associations associated with Rving losing membership, it’s great to see this one growing. It was a beautiful drive over the mountains but we were sad that there was so little snow left. But I will say it was nice to get out of the gray and rain and see the sun!
TIP: One of my online newsletters discusses getting your mail on the road. Many use mail services if they are full time and some use family which is what we choose to do. Many of the RV Parks will not accept mail from the Post Office unless it is a Priority Mail package but do accept FedEX and UPS. Make sure if you are getting mail by “General Delivery” that you know which post offices accept Gen Del as not all of them do. Always get a tracking number! We have had packages go astray by all 3 methods so none are fool proof. Here is the link to the article I read. http://rvlife.com/package-delivery-tips-for-full-time-rvers/
TIP: Storing Winter Clothes I have asked the past two newsletters about how others store their winter clothes and what luck anyone has had with the vacuum storage bags. Sue was the only one who responded and they have had mixed results as have I, with different brands I have purchased. I will be resoarting to a plastic tub again. Here is an article I read about Storing Winter Clothes and she doesn’t mention using the vacuum bags either! http://www.onegoodthingbyjillee.com/simple-tips-for-storing-winter-clothing.html utm_source=DailyRSSNewsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=Headline&utm_campaign=RSSNewsletter. But I do have to say with the weather in Seattle so far, I won’t be storing them away anytime soon! 🙁

Great Places To Visit: Living and traveling full time in an RV gives you the opportunity to see all the things this wonderful country has to offer. You can spend an hour, an afternoon or a week or two in a place discovering all the area has to see. One of the amazing “finds” we stumbled upon while driving the back roads was Mesa Orchards just north of Payette, ID on Hwy 95. There are very few fruit trees left but it was a very educational stop. You can read more about it here. http://payettecounty.info/marlow/mesaorchards.html. If you’re trraveling in the area it is worth the trip.
