Wishing you all a Happy and Blessed Easter.
Monday morning we leave for 3 weeks in Yuma for 3 rallies. The first is the FMA (Fleetwood) then the Freightliner and ending with the Alfa Rally. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We met some Alfa and Fleetwood owners here that are headed for the rallies and also are living in their RV. Hope to see many of you there. I will be giving space savers seminars at all three rallies. Even though it is Easter weekend and most kids are out of school, the park here in Palm Springs is only about half full. The weather is beautiful although one day earlier in the week we had a horrible wind storm.
It reminded me of a Montana blizzard only with sand instead of snow!
As I reported in a newsletter a few weeks ago, Mike broke the wand off the kitchen faucet and we had to replace it. We were in Vegas at the time and the only thing we could find that would fit was a shiny chrome one (not what we wanted)! It was already looking terrible with water spots from the water here and I found this NEW TIP that really works! Use wax paper to rub all over the faucet to clean off the water spots. I have given tips before about all the things you could do with wax paper and it deserved a place in your RV. Well now you have one more reason! It really does last about a week. http://tiphero.com/keep-faucet-clean/?
We try not to keep too much extra food around because of space and weight but do like to have some things around and of course we all have to have the basics: flour, sugar, butter, spices, vinegar, oil, etc. And if you’re like us, some nights we look at each other and say “what are we going to fix for dinner?” I was reading an article the other day and found this site that I thought was a great tip for all of us. It’s called My Fridge Food and you can put in the ingredients you have on hand and tell it if you want to make a meal, dessert, snack, etc., and up it pops with recipe ideas. I have used it a couple of times this week and have gotten some pretty good ideas. Sadly because of all of Mike’s food issues the recipes included things he couldn’t have but I thought it was a great resource. The other thing I like about it is if you need something for a potluck or cocktail party, you may not even have to go shopping to make something. http://myfridgefood.com/. Can I just tell you if I haven’t already, I hate shopping so this site will really work for me.
The Wait is Over…California Avocados are now in Season. YEAH! http://email.californiaavocado.com/hostedemail/email.htm?CID=23847261146&ch=

Here is a list of all the varieties of avocados grown in California. We love being in Southern California during avocado season! We share an avocado almost every day while we are down here. They are so yummy and good for you. http://www.californiaavocado.com/how-tos/avocado-varieties.aspx. And don’t forget all the products we carry to use with avocados.
We use them all and you can find them all on www.rvspacesavers.com. I not only use the Salsa Maker to make Salsa but also to make Guacamole. I put the tomatoes or pomegranates in at the end. I did a demonstration using the Salsa Maker to a group last week on “How to Make Pomegranate Guacamole.” They loved it! While the “season” for pomegranates is over, you can find cups of the arils in the produce section of most supermarkets.
Sadly I still don’t have the pictures of our new products that I promised would be here this week…hopefully this coming week. 🙁
New Reader Tip:
New use…. the oven tool is marvelous for lifting tea bags out of the mug…. the kind of tea that has no strings/label.
Thanks Danise…a great idea. I love hearing from our customers how they use our products for things other than for what they were intended. Lets hear from the rest of you…how do you use our products? firstname.lastname@example.org.
Great Places to Visit: Discover the Giant Forgotten Arrows That Guide Travelers Across America. I thought this was such a cool story and one I had never heard of. It would be fun to find some of these.
http://www.americanews.com/gallery/society/2015/10/20/discover-forgotten-giant-arrows-guide-travelers-across-america/slide/1. You can also read about it on Snopes. http://www.snopes.com/travel/airline/arrows.asp. This might be a fun trip to plan this summer if you are going to be in any of these areas.
Praying for all the families and friends of the Brussels bombings. And praising all those First Responders not only in Brussels but all those who serve here in the United States. Thank you for all you do. Please be safe out there.
