Tips and Ideas from RV Space Savers

Since yesterday was a travel day for us and there was some issue with the blog site, I am a day late with the newsletter.  We drove from Desert Hot Springs to Las Vegas for the ASD Market.  This is 9 shows all in one where they show products to retailers and what’s new or hot in the market place.  We are attending for the first time so it will be an interesting experience for us.  Many have said it is 4 days of miles and miles of walking and can be quite overwhelming.  With my OCD we went today to get our bearings and try to get our paperwork so I could mark all the places we definitely wanted to check out for new products.  Well that didn’t turn out so hot…they claim the program books haven’t even arrived in Vegas yet and won’t be available until tomorrow morning when the show starts!  You all know how well I do in disorganization so probably we’ll spend some time in the morning once we arrive at the show getting things organized so we aren’t running back and forth. Many of you may have seen, been in or driven by the Las Vegas Convention Center and know how huge it is.  The center includes more than 2 million square feet of exhibitor space!

Here is an overview of the floor plan.  Now you know why I want to be organized!  Thankfully we won’t have to go to all the areas since some are things of no interest.  I’m sure we’ll have tired feet every night!

New Tips:  I shared a couple of tips on our Facebook page this week that I thought wuld be  great to include in the newsletter.

U.S. Map

Tip One: I loved this idea and so many of us have those maps somewhere in our RV’s of the states we have visited.  What wonderful memories this would bring and could even be done if you were spending time in one state and visiting several places within a state.  You could start a notebook with a state map and photos of each place that was especially memorable to you.

Tip Two:  Install a small towel bar (can be one with suction cups) against a wall to hold shampoo, lotions etc., if you are short on cabinet space.

This idea would also work in the kitchen to hold spices if you have a small area of counter space or you could

Wooden Spice Rack

purchase a wooden spice rack and hang it on the wall.

New Products:  Coming Soon: Huckleberry Pancake Mix, Muffin Mix and Scone Mix.  We now have these products which are great with our huckleberry honey, jam and syrup.  I hope to have them all on the website this coming week for you to order.  Not only are they a delicious treat to share with your special someone but make a great gift.

Great Places to Visit:  Can you help?  One of our readers is driving up the Oregon Coast and looking for good RV Parks and great places to stop and visit.  Please let me know if you have special ideas.  Since most of the coastline are state parks I have already given them that idea and since we are Thousand Trails members, those are the parks we choose to stay in so would love to give them some other ideas.

We held a couple of Space Saving seminars last week at some parks in Desert Hot Springs and have a couple more scheduled when we’re back in that area.  No matter where we go, it is a topic everyone seems to have a lot of interest in whether living in an RV or a park model.  If you know of any parks that may be interested in our seminars, please let us know and if you have attended any of our seminars please speak with the Recreation Director or Park Manager about booking us for these free seminars.

We are sending prayers to all those RVer’s caught in the horrible storms in the southeast.  The photos were absolutely devastating and our hearts go out to them all.  Please everyone stay safe out there. Until next time.  Gail, Mike and CoCo.
